2-0 Loss to Concord

Tough 2-0 loss to Concord yesterday evening. Our defense started strong with a well executed double play to 2nd baseman Mike Bailey from 3rd baseman Tyler Perron, and from there to Dave Nelson on 1st. Chris Hood was sensational on the mound, pitching an 88 pitch complete game giving up 4 hits (2 bunt singles) walking 1 and striking out 6. Hood led the offense with 2 hits, David Nelson, Mike Bailey and Kyle Chisholm had 1 hit each.

Both teams played exceptional defense, with the first 7 innings flying by in record time. Concord played a good game and earned the win, but encountered a much stronger team than the Post 16 team they played last month. It has been gratifying to see the Goffstown ALB team recover from a rough start in the beginning of the season to become the confident, cohesive unit they are now. It’s a credit to Coach Pappas and to the players themselves. Well done, Post 16 ALB.

Next game will be tomorrow, Wednesday the 16th at St. A’s Sullivan Park, 5:00 PM vs Milford Post 23. Come out and support the team.
